Wise County and the surrounding region offer the ideal environment for advanced manufacturing—where innovative companies find the sites, support, and skilled workforce they need to thrive. In 2024, Wrap Technologies (Nasdaq: WRAP), a global leader in public safety solutions, announced a new 20,000 sq. ft. facility in nearby Norton, Virginia. This cutting-edge hub will support the manufacturing and distribution of next-generation public safety tools like the BolaWrap® and Wrap Reality™, an immersive training platform revolutionizing law enforcement practices.

Wrap selected the Intersection Business and Industry Park not only for its strategic location at the interchange of U.S. 23 and U.S. Route 58 Alternate but also for the powerful collaboration among state, regional, and local partners who helped bring the project to life. Key support came from:

  • Virginia Economic Development Partnership
